Science Experiments Middle School

Question: Middle school science question – 30 points to best answers?
I have three questions about science. I took these recently on an exam and we won’t be receiving the exam back until after our fall break. I kind of remember them.
Q1. What can you give a wilted stalk of celery that will make it firmer.
Answers were:
Distilled water (chose this)
Salt Water
Vinegar
and something else I can’t remember
Q2. What items do you need to show an experiment about diffusion .
Answers were
Teabag, glass, hot water (chose this)
lemonade mix, water, spoon
forgot it
forgot it
Also one more question. It is kind of difficult to explain.
Basically, it showed a cell membrane with a nucleus inside. There were three dots on the inside and numerous surrounding it on theoutside. The question was if the cell membrane became permeable to the dots (particles) Then what would happen to the cell.
Answers we;
Particles would leave
Particles would enter
Cell would collapse ( my answer)
Cell membrane would surround one particle
Answer: 1. Should be salt water as water travels from a higher concentration to a lower conc.
2. I suppose you could use a teabag to show diffusion. Hard to say if there was a better option as you don’t have the other options
3. Particles would enter (higher conc to lower conc)

Science Experiment Lesson Plans

Question: Lesson plan of Colour Changing Milk in preschool?
Hi I did a science experiment with colour changing milk in preschool children, but i need a lesson plan with science process skills with evaluation? please help me
Answer: with the economy as tough as it is, our preschool has decided not to use food in non-eating situations, In answer to your question, start with questions that will predict what will happen then perform experiment then discuss what happened and why the children think it happened that way.
evaluation is simply how well did it work for you and your class.

Science Experiments High School Level

Question: What is an experiment on high school level that I can conduct using Genetically Modified Food VS. non-GM Food?
I’m doing my science fair assignment where we have to find articles and make an experiment based on that article. I found an article that I can possibly use that is about Genetically Modified Food and original food but I can’t think of a question I can test or of an experiment I can conduct… HELP PLEASE!!!
Answer: This will be difficult to do. All of the food that is agricultural is already genetically modified by selective breeding. Food that is not agricultural, e.g., fish and other sea food from the ocean or animals that are hunted but not raised, do not have equivalent genetically modified forms.
