Science Experiments Preschool

Question: Preschool theme for winter wear.?
I am a preschool teacher and in my 3 year old class I am doing a theme on winter wear, and need some more ideas. I have an art project already. I am also getting some clothes from goodwill for the children to sort (which clothes you wear for winter) I am also doing a science experiment with ice and gloves. Any other suggestions?
Answer: There are some nice storybooks that go along with this. “The Snowy Day” by Ezra Jack Keats is good. Another is “The Jacket I Wear in the Snow”. The second book shows the child putting on all the winter clothes to go outside. You can provide pictures of these clothes for the children to color and cut out. They can put them on a paper doll as you tell the story.

Question: KS3 Science Question? Probably quite easy for most people!?
Give 2 reasons why an iron nail is better than iron powder for some experiments, and 2 reasons why iron powder is better than an iron nail for other experiments?
Thank you very much for all answers! (10 points for best)
Answer: If you want iron with a lot of surface area then use iron powder, otherwise use the iron nail with less surface area. Also, when you want to collect the product formed from the iron, let say when you dip the nail in a solution and a single replacement reaction occurs, then you use the iron nail and simply collect the product on the nail. If you use the powder for the latter experiment, it would be a lot harder to just collect the product and not the iron itself.
