Question: I need help with this science question?

It’s about an experiment Millier and Urey did simulating early Earth to prove Oparin’s hypothesis. They mixed some things together and passed an electric current through it simulating lightning. The question is if there was no lightning in early Earth what could be changed about the experiment to be reflect this? What energy source could be used instead of lightning?
