Science Experiments On Motion

science experiments on motion
Question: We have to design a Physics lab that can be done on top of a mountain, any ideas?

Our whole grade is going up on a mountain and designing Lab Experiments in the science we are studying. I am studying physics therefore I have no other choice. We were told that on top of the mountains there was also a stream and a lake.
Uptil now I have studied:
Kinematics
Laws of Motion
Circular Motion and Gravitation
Work and Energy
LInear Momentum
Vibrations and Waves
Heat
Wave as Nature of Light

Answer: With the river and stream Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Gravitation, Work and energy all work… Also you could measure the change in the air Pressure from the ground and there…

!!MOLECULAR MOTION!! (WHOOOOOA)

Science Experiments Lung Capacity

science experiments lung capacity
Question: Measuring Lung Capacity With Balloons,How is this applied in the real world?

Hi. I need help, fast! For those of you that can. Im doing my science project, but i hit brick wall,i mean I DON’T KNOW what to do. Step 10 of my science project: See im suppose to type a 1 page Abstract using 250 words (in paragraph format),but before that i need to write a paragraph on how my experiment/project can be a applied in real life…..that’s why,it should be simple, yet is not. That’s why,if you are curious…please answer my question! How does measuring lung capacity no matter what age you are matter in real life?…for what and why? ps. Its not that want people to do the work for me,because i don’t…im lazy,i can admit that but im not stupid….this is part of my experiment….i need to know how people would need to know the information is real life! Please answer! I need to have a lot of answers as soon as possible! If you cant, then thanks for trying!

Answer: I’m not sure what you need for this, but your question reminded me of people in the hospital who have had surgery or some type of problems. To measure how well they are breathing (how deeply) they blow into a gadget that has little plastic balls that move up when they blow. They are supposed to do a certain number of breaths, trying to get the little balls ( or maybe it was just one ball, I can’t remember) to go up a certain distance.

My thought is that blowing into a balloon, perhaps the volume blown into the balloon could be measured to see if the person is breathing better. Or maybe just the exercise of blowing into the balloon would be good breathing therapy (that is, measuring is not really necessary).

Measuring lung capacity might be good for health tracking. Lung capacity is probably based on height and perhaps age. If people measure their lung capacity and find it to be below average, then they might try to improve their lifestyle in order to improve lung capacity. Also, perhaps it could be used to encourage people not to smoke, since smoking would affect lung capacity.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

Science Experiment With Plants

science experiment with plants
Question: What is something fun to do for a school science experiment?

Me and my friend need to think of an idea for a science experiment. Preferably something with food. We Can’t use any “living” things
(plants, bugs, rats, etc.) But don’t tell me what the result is.

also, nicole, that sounds fun, but i need something that has a variable, a hypothesis, and a question. (we aren’t doing this one) Ex- What diapers are more absorbent?

Answer: You should mix glue with borax powder (probably accesable from your science lab at school or whatever) and then you make something very cool!!!! You need to use PVA glue!!!

Measure 1/2 cup of warm water into the plastic cup and add a teaspoon of Borax powder to the water. Stir the solution – don’t worry if all of the powder dissolves. This Borax solution is the secret linking agent that causes the Elmer’s Glue molecules to turn into slime.

While stirring the glue in the mixing bowl, slowly add a little of the Borax solution. Immediately you’ll feel the long strands of molecules starting to connect. It’s time to abandoned the spoon and use your hands to do the serious mixing. Keep adding the Borax solution to the glue mixture untill you have a slime like material!!
