The Effects of Magnetic Fields on Water Continued
- Ask an adult with apair of scissors to cut off the rounded top part of a 2-liter bottle.
- Place a metal paper clip in the bottom of the bottle.
- Wrap a strip of masking tape around one end of a six-sided, not round, pencil and then number the sides. Write” 1″ on the tape on one side, then turn the pencil and write “2,” and so on.
- Tie a piece of string to the middle of the pencil and secure it with a piece of masking tape.
- Tie the other end of the string to a magnet.
- Turn the pencil, wrapping the string around it, and set it over the top of the plastic bottle.
- Slowly, lower the magnet into the bottle.
- When the magnet is close enough and captures the paper clip, stop!
- Notice the number on the side of the pencil.
- Carefully, lift the magnet straight up without turning the pencil.
- Remove the paper clip, and lay it back in the bottle in the exact same spot.
- Fill the bottle half full with water, then slowly lower the magnet into the bottle.
- Be sure not to turn the pencil, so that the string length is not changed.
The string length, the position of the paper clip, and the distance from the magnet to the paper clip are CONSTANTS. The VARIABLE is the substance between the magnet and the paper clip: air and water.
Does the magnet still attract the paper clip?
If so, does it do so from about the same distance above it as it did when the bottle was filled with air instead of water?
Results and Conclusion of the science experiment
Write down the result of your experiment. Come to a conclusion as to whether or not your hypothesis was correct.

The Effects of Magnetic Fields on Water
The purpose of this science experiment: the effects of magnetic fields on water is to find out the changes in magnetism in water.
Magnetism and water have often been in school Science Experiments and are very popular in science fair experiments.
This science experiment is great for home Science Experiments and can be Science Experiment Ideas for children school science fair projects.
Does water affect a magnetic field? Does magnetism work in water?
Sound waves go through both water and air. In fact, sound waves travel farther and faster in water than they do in air. How about magnetism? Does magnetism work in water? What are the changes in magnetism in water? How does water affect magnetism? What are the effects of magnetic fields on water? All these questions regarding magnetism + water will be answered by the science fair experiments introduced in this section of Science Experiments information website.
Hypothesis of the effects of magnetic fields on water science experiment
Let’s first hypothesize that water has no effect on magnetism and there are no effects of magnetic fields on water.
Equipment needed for the effects of magnetic fields on water science experiment
- magnet
- 2 liter plastic soda bottle
- masking tape
- metal paper clip
- 2 pencils
- string

Science Experiments With Magnets

Question: We are a science experiment?
i have a theory we are an experiment of real life sized humans, like we are just small. “man was created in gods image” right?
like how scientists can create life now, just imagine an ant sized version. this is the only logical answer to everything with in our universe..but even than who created the real humans “gods”who created us?
outside of this “universe” or “big black box with floating spehrical magnets, gases and life forms”.
Answer: A very interesting theory…. I have a lil’ theory myself, I think the universe is spherical, not in box or cube form, or maybe you’re right because no one knows. And when you manage to get out from the black sphere a.k.a. our universe, you’ll find an even larger, colossal sized white world. The world is white because it’s actually a science lab of a super intelligent life form, they are, in fact, beings which we believe as GODs. The lab is equipped with fluorescent lamps. hence, white world….
There are not only one black sphere in the room. There are hundreds of similar black spheres all lined up in rows. and this is just from one lab, who knows maybe there are millions, or billions out of the lab, at other labs. The reason creating these spheres is because they are running out of energy source, and they found a way to create energy by using us, and the universe. Every explosion and supernova occur in the sphere, every birth and death of a star, every single life born and die inside will eventually give them the energy they need.
And talking about Heaven and Hell, they’re fake. They’re just like Hawaii and prison. Those who are good and contribute to the society will be transferred to a sphere which is so called “Heaven” where they are rewarded with a happy life. However, those who behave badly will be sent to the “Hell” sphere where they are punished and tortured.
We grow old and weak, and finally we die. So as everything in the universe. All of this occur is because every second we’re living, we’re leaking out our energy little by little for the needs of the “Gods”. After our death, we are reborn and continue to contribute again and again, forever and ever.
In the end, we’re just slaves of the “Gods” and our existence is just to feed the greater beings.
This is just a theory of mine… Some people thinks it’s bullshit, but hey, they say nothing is impossible…
