Question: Why did god create other planets?

Why did god bother himself with creating billions of other planets (alot of which are barren and uninhabitable)? I thought we were his favorite creatures

Maybe all of those other planets were just failed Science Experiments. Then god thought “Alright,that’s it! This week I am going to make sh*t happen” and BAM! he created Earth with everything in it in 6 days and on the 7th day he enjoyed some fine wines and cigars over at his beach house on his day off.

Answer: There’s a need for the moon, and there’s a need for Jupiter, which through history has been a handy vacuum cleaner sucking up debris which may otherwise endanger the earth.

I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a reason god made any of the other planets and their moons because they exist simply cos they do.
True, this is a very inefficient solar system for anyone to claim it was artificial.
