Science Experiment Toys

Question: What is an experiment i could do on speed or velocity and not use my hands to push or pull, and no chemicals?

My experiment “Students will design a simple mechanicle device, using recylced materialat home, in order to demonstrate thier knowledge of the concepts of speed, veloity, and acceleration. The “motion toy” may travel on the florr or table(land), air(inside an classroom) or water (in meduim sized aquarium.) Cannot weigh over 1 lbs volume must not exceed 12x12x12. “motion toy” shall have 0 velocity when relaesed and 0 velocity at the end of operation. Must not be purchased at store, no chemicals, or gas. Experiment must be accomplished entirley by hand without the use of any tools. The experiment may not be pushed by an object. Ex. Use of a ramp or “down hill” object.”

I have an “F” in science! this project is 100 points! please help me!! SIMPLE i’m in 8th grade, so if there are any ideas send them to me. Thank you

Answer: there are tons of things you can do with old rubber bands.

Here is one Idea:

find some round hollow object something like a roll of toilet papper or something.

then get two sticks and get a rubber band through the middle which wraps around both sticks holding them against either end of the roll of toilet papper.

Now get something semi heavy and connect it to the rubber band inside and twist it up as tight as you can and then let go.

The object will spin inside of the tube and cause the obect to roll.

Heat Conduction

Below is a very neat video showing a heat conduction science experiment using water. Heat conduction Science Experiments are fun and easy to do. However, please be supervised by adults when performing any experiments of heat conduction at home or at school. The science experiment below is a middle school conduction experiment for kids.

What you need for heat conduction Science Experiments?

You need a flame of some sort such as from a candle, a Styrofoam cup, and water.

Usually a Styrofoam cup will burn in flame when in contact with heat in no time. However, in this heat conduction science experiment, can you believe that you can actually put the Styrofoam cup right on the flame and it will not burn? This heat conduction science experiment video will show you how it is done using the principal of heat conduction.

conduction experiment

You can put the Styrofoam cup right on the flame and it will not burn because of heat conduction.

Heat conduction science experiments

You can even see the flame through the bottom of the Styrofoam cup and the bottom is still not burned. Try without heat conduction medium and see the difference.

Question: Science Experiment Ideas?

I’m supposed to do a science experiment for school. It can be pretty much anything as long as its something I can use to show how to follow the Scientific Method.
anybody have some good ideas?
oh yea, and I’m in 10th grade.
thanks. (:

Answer: u can do an experiment on: Does salt or borax dissolve faster in water? (u can use my question, I don’t mind.) & your controlled variables are your water, mostly. (the temp. of the water)
I’m younger than you, 6th grade. but i have done this experiment in class, and I thought it was neat.
