Question: I need science help!; Honors eighth grade.?

I did a science experiment; it was to grow beans into plants in four containers. First container had 1/3 cup of water in it. (The bean was in a cottonball) The second had a teaspoon of salt; the third had four tablespoons; and the fourth container had half a cup.

[The beans in the salt died...]

For my science write-up, however, I have to have a hypothesis with back-up.

I wrote: “The bean plant being grown in no salt will grow more rapidly and with greater health than the plants being grown in saltwater because …”
but what could be a logical explanation for why the beans in the salt can’t grow? I can’t figure it out..

If you could help me out it’d be nice; eighth grade HONORS standards, please. thanks! (:

Answer: Hey I’m in eight grade honors too. Don’t you write your hypothesis based on other peoples work? And don’t you have to cite you’re sources for the hypothesis?

If not, you’re lucky.

Anyways the salt would probably absorb or take all the nutrients out of the water or something. Because if a human drinks too much saltwater they die of dehydration…

Devon’s Cloud Science Experiment – 2nd Grade

Question: Can anyone tell me the name of this tv show?

This show used to be aired on Discovery channel/Discovery kids (canadian/american). I used to watch it when I was a kid(1995-2000). It is a show about science mainly physics. A very sweet girl used to host the show. She used to narrate the show as her science project. She has done experiments and explained them with some help from her friends such as; gravity, friction, atoms etc. The girl used to wear a black rimmed glasses and drive a volkeswagen beetle(probably a black one) on the show. I have frogotten about the name of the show and cannot recall it. I have tried to trace it on the net but was a failure. I liked this show very much. Can anyone help me with any clue of this show?
