Question: Dancing raisin science experiment?

My brother is doing a science experiment called the dancing raisin. What it is, is that you add raisins to a carbonated drink and watch the raisin float up and sink again. My brother is doing this experiment, except he is using other dried fruits and non dried fruits to see which ones float and sink and which ones don’t react.

He has to explain how doing this experiment can relate to real life situation, how by doing this experiment he can apply it to his own life, and how by doing this experiment, he can “help” the world. He would like your opinions thanks~

Answer: the practical application is called froth floatation which is used mostly for mineral and ore refining, look it up and build a raisin refinery
