Question: Rate my science fair topic please?

Im thinking on doing a science fair project on whatever makes plants grow the fastest. Sugar saturated water, salt saturated water, and yah. Is this experiment high school level, middle school level, or sadly elementary school level

Answer: Elementary school level. As a former high school teacher I found that most of the science projects were not original ideas but re runs of old topics. We already know the out come of your idea. Science projects are suppose to stimulate thinking. There are many things that need true investigation and research. Don’t look for the easy way out but try and find some area of science that you are truly interested in. A science project should be an on going adventure. Many students start in the 9th grade and continue year after year and end up with a regional and state science fair winner. But most of all they learn what true research is all about. There are many web sites that deal with science fair projects that you can look at but the real good ones come directly from your own interest.
